Consistent advertising is one of the most important aspects of marketing. Don’t believe me? Why do McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, Doritos, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, etc. all still create commercials, run online video campaigns on sites like Youtube, and have print ads, promotional videos, and billboards?

Aside from announcing new products and specials, what other need would there be for consistent advertising? Well, why does Frito Lay have a Doritos commercial where a giant rat bashes through a wall to punch a teasing, unsuspecting house owner? What does that have to do with Doritos?

Well, let me tell you.

Again, aside from the obvious fact that you can announce new products, services, and deals, constant marketing via video (commercials, web videos, etc) keeps your company and your product FRESH IN PEOPLE’S MINDS! Think about it…


What if you haven’t seen a Doritos commercial in a year or two? Most likely, with all the craziness life throws at you, you would FORGET about the brand. Most likely, your question would be, “Are they still around?”

Now, let me ask you… Do you want people thinking that about your company?


“Oh, but the economy is bad. We need to cut costs somewhere.” Really? Okay, but why cut costs on something that BRINGS YOU NEW CLIENTS, reminds your old clients that you’re STILL ALIVE, and therefor brings in $$$.

If your company’s financial situation is not where you’d like it to be, then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Cutting advertising costs (the MAIN THING that will bring in NEW BUSINESS) when times are bad is like being forced to eat Wendy’s and then ordering a Triple Cheeseburger with Bacon instead of a salad. You’re only making things worse.
